At the Adams County Chamber of Commerce, we believe in supporting the next generation of leaders in our community. That's why in partnership with the Ohio Department of Development Manufacturing Extension Partnership program, we have established this scholarship to empower and assist deserving students in achieving their educational goals.

We are excited to offer two scholarships to graduating high school seniors in Adams County who are pursuing higher education. If you're a senior graduating in the Spring of 2023 with a minimum GPA of 2.5, you could be eligible for this incredible opportunity.

To apply for the scholarship, you will need to meet certain requirements. In addition to the academic criteria, you will be asked to submit an essay of up to 500 words on the topic of ways to improve the economic development of Adams County. We also require a video interview of up to two minutes, where you can share why you believe you deserve the scholarship and your plans for the future after high school graduation. Don't worry about the video being professionally made or edited - a simple home video will do!

Along with your application, you will need to provide a complete transcript of your grades or a letter from your guidance counselor indicating your GPA. If you are submitting an online transcript, it must display your name, school name, grade, and credit hours earned for each course and term. Additionally, two letters of reference from non-parents, non-family members, or guidance counselors must be included with your application.

The deadline to submit your application to the Adams County Chamber of Commerce is April 24th at 5 p.m. The scholarship winners will be announced at our Adams County Scholarship Dinner, which will take place on May 5th. At the dinner, the winners will be presented with a $500 scholarship each.

In addition to being a great opportunity for students, the Adams County Scholarship Dinner will also serve as a fundraiser for future scholarships. The dinner will be held at J. McCoy Lumber Co. Wood Depot, located at 2 Sycamore St. in Peebles, Ohio on May 5th at 6:00 p.m. We will also be hosting a silent auction during the dinner, with all proceeds going toward future scholarships.
